Container
The container crammed with materials left Amlwch on the 9th December headed for Felixstowe and thereafter to the Gambian capital (Banjul) where it arrived on the 7th January 2011.For details of the items sent see container manifest
We were extremely fortunate that the container was donated by Mr Delwyn Williams of Anglesey Services.

Our good fortune did not stop there as a tractor and a plough were donated again free of any cost by Daniel Parry of Bagnol Farm Caravan Site, Trearddur Bay. We are extremely grateful to both gentlemen and their kindness will have a lasting benefit on the quality of life of many of those living in Sankwia.
The medical equipment was donated to the local clinic at Soma. The medical staff were overjoyed and expressed their gratitude. Asthma is common in th Lower River Region of the Gambia, due to the dust,in the winter season. A Senior Nurse expressed great delight when he opened a package containing a nebuliser. When he was informed that there 5 units he was ecstatic.

Many thanks also to local schools and numerous individuals who donated items. In addition the charity acquired further educational materials in the Gambia, and all these items were presented to the local schools serving Sankwia
Children’s clothing had been donated by a number of our supporters and these were distributed to families in the greatest need in Sankwia .
