Fundraising
Members of the charity and our supporters, raise funds in a number of ways.
Sponsorship
We have an educational sponsorship scheme which is supported by people from far and wide. This money is used to sponsor the education of the village children. If you would be interested in this scheme then please refer to 0ur Educational Sponsorship Scheme.
Charity Auction
Auction 2010
Each year we hold an auction. We are grateful to all those persons and organisations who donate items for this event and all those who have attended and particularly those who have purchaed lots. This year the sum raised at our auction in September 2011 will again be used to pay for the cost of sending a container to Sankwia. We hope to send medical and educational materials and equipment which will improve the health and the living standards of Sankwia. Details of 2011 Auction.
Raffle
Selling Books and Raffle tickets at the Amlwch Threshing Show 2010
Members attend various fairs and gathering where raffles are organised.
Sale of Second Hand books
These are again sold at the various gatherings and we are dependant on gifts of books from members of the public. If you have books that you no longer require, please contact us. Every penny that we raise makes a difference to those living in Sankwia
Easyfundraising
This is a system which results in a donation to the charity when people buy goods or services online. It costs the pourchaser nothing. If you have an interest in assisting us in this way please contact us and we will be happy to explain the procedure.
Recycling Ink Jet Cartridges
Used cartridges can be quite valuable. Rather than throw them away, contact us and money can be raised by selling these to a recycling company.
Key Rings
We sell key rings with pictures of some of the village children. If you are interested please contact us.
